A series of metal circles forms a structure shaped like half a torus, creating an endlessly looping light animation at night. The aluminium semicircles are anchored to the ground and slightly offset from one another to create a spiral form.
Interactivity Walk into and around an endless audiovisual loop. A bespoke soundscape enhanced by specially programmed lighting effects captivates the senses and takes you on an immersive journey as you move through the loop.
Philosophy “Loophole” takes its inspiration from a torus, a simple yet beautiful geometric form that recurs throughout nature and the universe. Above all, it is the shape of the Earth’s magnetic shield, which protects life from cosmic radiation storms and particles. The toroidal form draws particles towards the poles, creating the magnificent light displays of the aurora borealis and aurora australis.
